About Outside the Box Education

Outside the Box Holistic Education & Consultancy provides personalised alternative education, tutoring, mentoring and enrichment for children and young people across Cornwall. It supports learners who need a flexible approach because of anxiety, educational trauma, SEND, placement breakdown or difficulties accessing mainstream education.

Each programme is tailored to the young person’s strengths, interests and goals. Qualified teachers and tutors can provide English, maths, GCSE and Functional Skills support alongside practical activities that help rebuild confidence and re-engage learners with education.

Learning may include outdoor education, bushcraft, cooking, horticulture, art, photography, conservation, cycling, swimming, surfing and other hands-on activities. Programmes can be linked to EHCP outcomes and adapted to suit individual learning styles and interests.

Outside the Box supports children and young people with a range of SEND, including autism, ADHD, PDA profiles, anxiety, SEMH and sensory needs. Provision may include one-to-one tuition, mentoring, wellbeing support and flexible learning delivered face to face, online or through a blended approach.

Support can be privately arranged or commissioned by schools and local authorities as part of an EHCP, EOTAS package or personalised education programme.
