Who it helps
Kernow Lighthouse offers swimming sessions for people with SEND of all ages, including adults. Most current swimmers are aged 4–17. Contact the team to discuss which session would suit the swimmer and whether a place is available.
What is available
Wednesday supported swim: A session where the swimmer and their carer can get in the pool together and use the equipment, with the team on hand to help.
Swimming lessons: Lessons range from one-to-one to one instructor with up to four swimmers. Carers do not join swimmers in the water during these lessons.
Alternative provision: The team can explore arranging lessons at other venues on request for learners in alternative provision.
