Boot Up! Outdoor Learning — ages 8–16
Practical outdoor learning and individual support at Barras Moor Farm.
Who it is for
Vulnerable young people aged 8–16, including children in care and learners with some special educational needs. The provider assesses whether its setting can meet each learner’s needs.
What is available
Bespoke sessions use nature, gardening, green woodwork, arts, crafts and bushcraft to develop confidence and practical skills. Individual relationships and learning by doing are central to the approach. Sessions run during term time only; there is no fixed published timetable.
Getting started
Bookings are usually arranged through schools or agencies. Parents/carers are welcome to enquire so Boot Up! can advise and signpost them; there is no booking page. Schools or agencies are expected to supply an accompanying teaching or personal assistant. If this is not possible, Boot Up! can provide its own teaching assistant at an additional charge. Parents/carers do not need to stay. Confirm suitability, fees and attendance directly. Travel must be arranged with the family, school or commissioning body.
