Imagine Outdoors
About Imagine Outdoors Together
Imagine Outdoors Together CIC provides outdoor alternative provision for children and young people who experience barriers to learning in a traditional classroom. Based at Newquay Orchard in Cornwall, the programme uses nature-based learning to build confidence, emotional wellbeing and positive relationships while helping children reconnect with education.
Sessions take place outdoors through practical, hands-on experiences rather than a classroom environment. Using trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches, experienced instructors create a calm and supportive setting where young people can develop resilience, communication, independence and self-esteem at their own pace.
Provision is available on a 2:1 basis or in small groups of up to six learners, with programmes tailored to each child’s strengths, interests and individual goals. Activities may include bushcraft, shelter building, campfire cooking, nature crafts, fire lighting, tool use, environmental projects and outdoor games.
Imagine Outdoors works closely with schools and professionals to develop personalised goals that can support EHCP outcomes and demonstrate progress in areas such as confidence, emotional wellbeing, communication and social skills.
Alongside Alternative Provision, the organisation also offers home education sessions, holiday activities and school programmes, giving children and families further opportunities to enjoy outdoor learning.
