Cornwall Rural Community Charity - Work Your Way
About Work Your Way
Learn Your Way, delivered by Cornwall Rural Community Charity (CRCC), supports young people aged 16–24 with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) as they prepare for adulthood, employment and greater independence. The programme offers a personalised approach for young people who may benefit from practical learning outside a traditional college environment, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and move towards meaningful employment or further opportunities.
Working alongside employers, community organisations and local partners, Learn Your Way provides opportunities to develop employability skills through practical activities, work-based learning and real-life experiences. Each learner follows an individual programme designed around their strengths, aspirations and support needs, with a strong emphasis on building independence, communication and confidence.
The programme aims to help young people take positive steps towards adult life by developing practical skills that can be used in everyday situations as well as in the workplace. Learners are supported to improve their confidence, social interaction, problem-solving abilities and readiness for employment while receiving guidance from experienced staff who understand the additional challenges that some young people with SEND may face.
As part of Cornwall Rural Community Charity, the programme benefits from strong links with employers, community projects and local organisations, creating opportunities for learners to gain valuable experience and become more connected with their local community. The focus is on helping each young person achieve realistic, meaningful outcomes that reflect their own ambitions and abilities, while preparing them for future education, employment or independent living.
